mu·sic

noun // vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such ways as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion.

We live in a day and age where there are many factors that divide us–religion, gender, race, age, etc. We let these differences come between us and disrupt our day-to-day lives. Music in itself creates harmony and brings people together; they bond over a love for a particular band or song.

Music was introduced to me at a young age and has played a large role in my life. I can still remember the first concert I attended and how I used to dance around my bedroom while listening to 90's boy bands. Fast forward to middle school where I started playing violin, and then again to high school when I got my first iPod and could listen to music anywhere. When it came to deciding my senior project, why would I choose anything else?

As mentioned before, music creates harmony among listeners, but also needs harmony to be successful. "Neon Peach" consists of four members, each playing an important role in the band; this is emphasized by using the element of "four" on the album covers. This is a unifying element throughout the years of the band, showing that there is also unity that evolves over time. This project allowed me to explore and test the waters with a different style that I am used to working with. Being an avid country listener, I decided to brand an alternative pop band that was bright, loud and energetic. Something different than my norm. Thus, "Neon Peach" was born.
